The Life of Terrance, so far
Summer nights at the raceway
In the evening of the summer of my 17th birthday I would don either my midnight blue mohair or gray sharkskin suit, fasten the gold cufflinks into the crisp white cuffs of a cotton shirt, glance at my 14K gold Jules Jurgensen watch, extend my left black star sapphire and diamond wrapped pinkie in the air and amble down to the limo stand where I was whisked to either Yonkers or Roosevelt Raceway. My regular companions in the eight-seater were a Superior Court judge and a Tin Pan Alley songwriter.
In my pocket were 2Gs in crisp $100 bills -my father’s
bankroll for his get rich scheme.

Paris au Flaneur
Join me for a day of flanerie as we walk in the footsteps of Jean Paul Sartre, Albert Camus, Simone de Beauvoir, Miles Davis James Baldwin and many others.
A tour of Paris with Terrance is a revelation. Give up the guise of “tourist” for a day, and take a break from museums, churches and monuments. Instead, participate in one of the city’s most hallowed traditions — flânerie — strolling some of the world’s most beautiful streets with a witty raconteur (and talented crooner) observing the way real Parisians live. A must!–Carl Kravetz, LA

Cher ami,
I continue to admire your productivity and amazing range of interests. I am at work on the new book (a biography of my mother) yes, at 91 it’s the triumph of optimism over statistics, but never mind.
Keep on with the good work, from signing to books.
With admiration,
Michael (Korda)
